We understand that nobody chooses to attend a Genetics clinic unless circumstances obliges them to do so. Our response is to minimize your attendances while maximizing the information, understanding and value you get for your attendance. While physical attendance for examination is usually necessary, remote consultation will often suffice for follow up dialogue and, if this is your preference, we will attempt to facilitate your wish.

Our clinic is an interactive consultation. Your needs and expectations are an important element of that interplay. For this reason, we attempt to individualise the care you receive, both in organizing the clinic, responding to your individual needs and in how we try to address the medical concerns which cause you to consult with us.

The Laboratories we use for analysis are chosen with care. They are all fully accredited laboratories, with which Dr Reardon has established close links over several years. This affords us an access to additional services, bespoke responses to particular investigative challenges, that transcend routinely available laboratory analyses. The close professional links thus established and maintained are greatly to the benefit of patients.

Just as each family with a genetic disorder has their own specific mutation causing that condition, each family and each individual has their own response. We attempt to individualise care to take account of your attitudes and demeanor towards your genetic condition.

It is important to us that patient’s reasonable expectations are realized in our clinic and that patients are not disappointed. However, sad news is part of our work and, when necessary, this will be imparted in as empathic and kind, supportive a manner as possible.
