Clinical Genetic Services - Explaining How We Work

At Genetics.ie, we offer a wide range of genetic testing services for all manner of requirements, covering newborn screening, chromosomal testing and diagnostics to our patients. Our approach focuses on a commitment to the highest standards of patient care and excellent communication throughout.

In this article, we provide an overview of how we work, so that you know precisely what to expect when engaging with our testing services. We understand that these matters are often stressful and worrying, however, we will do our utmost to make the whole process as painless as possible.

The Fastest Possible Resolution

In situations where we’re required to correspond with referring doctors, it’s always carried out promptly with and with the minimum of delays. Our waiting lists do fluctuate, but they’re always short and will require you to wait no more than 2 months. Typically speaking, 2-3 visits to our clinic is usually all that’s necessary.

Excellent Patient Communication Is Our Hallmark

We understand exactly how frustrating it can be when you’re left waiting to receive a diagnosis, which is why we always endeavour to communicate with you as often as possible. Excellent communication is a hallmark of the service we provide, so you can rest assured that as soon as we know more, you will too.

You’ll Always See the Consultant - Not a Junior

When using our services, you’re paying for the benefit of our expertise and experience, so you’ll always get to speak to the consultant, rather than a junior or counsellor. If you find yourself requiring our genetic testing services, you want the best and so that’s exactly what we provide.
